Nudgee College Swimming Club carried on the impressive start to the new season with the best set of results the club has ever got at a Queensland State Championships.
The club won 21 Gold, 10 Silver and 9 Bronze medals out of the 3 day meet.
Hana Costello won her first medals at a Queensland State Short Course meet and picked up 3 Gold in 11yrs 100m IM, Freestyle and Butterfly and 1 Bronze in the 200m IM.
Thomas Connellan won 3 Golds in the Boys 13yrs 200/400/800m Freestyle and a Silver in the 100m Freestyle.
Aidan Easton carried on his impressive Brisbane meet by backing up at Queensland with 3 Golds in the Boys 12yrs 50/100m Breaststroke and 400m IM, he also won 2 Silver medals in the 100/200m IM.
Tiana Kritzinger knocked 19 seconds off her 800m Freestyle best time to win the Girls 13yrs, she also 2 Bronze medals in the 400m Freestyle and IM events.
Philippa O'Brien broke the Queensland record in the Girls 16yrs 1500m Freestyle with 16:26.0 to win Gold, she also finished with a Silver in the Opens category behind 2018 Pan Pacific Silver medallist Kareena Lee. Philippa also won Gold in the 800m Freestyle and Bronze in the 400m Freestyle
Nudgee College Year 10 student Thomas Raymond picked up 3 Gold medals in the 400/800/1500m Freestyle plus a Silver medal in the 200m Freestyle all in best big best times.
Dominic Osswald claimed 3 Gold medals with wins in the 11yrs 50/100m Breaststroke and the 200m IM at his very first QLD State Short Course Championships.
Jade Starr followed on from where she left last season with 3 Golds in 15yrs 200m Backstroke, 100/200m Freestyle and then 3 Silvers in 200/400m IM plus 400m Freestyle.
